A more unique alternative to the casual, laid-back, family portraits, is doing a formal family session! Before you say no, that's not me, I want the Instagram worthy, outdoors in a field, golden hour glow, check out this family session!

This is one of the most down to earth, sweet, little families you will ever meet. It also happens to be my younger brother, my dear sister-in-law, and the cutest nephew ever!

They agreed to do a styled session so I can give people an idea of what formal family photos look like. Throughout it, I think Sarah was a little dubious about some of the poses, but when they saw the finished results, they were pleasantly surprised! It still managed to capture their family, their personalities, and some of these are going to be a gorgeous addition to their family home!

Sarah wore the white Harper top by Chicaboo, and the Ava skirt.

I found your piece on popemote really thoughtful, especially how you captured the light on the boardwalk during the downtown Flint session. It’s clear you have a great eye for making those candid moments feel both natural and significant.

I was researching family portraits in downtown Flint and ZEnhancer had some useful pointers. The idea of using the local architecture as a backdrop really stood out to me. It’s cool how a city setting can add so much character to family photos.

There’s something really charming about the way they captured the families in such a natural setting. youtube thumbnail downloader
